Part Time Program Manager-Beaverdam Elementary

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. About the role

As a Program Manager, you will drive our mission by ensuring safety and joy standards are met while supporting a team of staff members. You will maintain operational efficiency, uphold licensing standards, and implement attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures. Your role includes continual coaching, fostering respectful relationships among staff, and addressing challenges promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by the team.
• Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
• Outline and enforce attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures.
• Provide continual coaching to staff and address challenges to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
• Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
• Identify and submit proof of potential risks within the program environment.
• Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to build effective communication and relationships.
• Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
• Collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support program goals and implement changes or processes.
• Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring "name to face" attendance procedures are followed.
• Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
• Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
• Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
• Ability to meet Virginia state-specific requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • 21 years or older.
• One of the following education or experience combinations:
  • Graduate degree in a child-related field (e.g., elementary education, nursing, recreation) and six months of programmatic experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a child-related field and one year of programmatic experience.
  • 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credit, including 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours in child-related subjects, and one year of programmatic experience.
  • Two years of programmatic experience with one year in a staff supervisory capacity, plus one of the following:
    • A one-year early childhood certificate from a college or university (at least 30 semester hours).
    • A child development credential meeting specific competency and training requirements.
    • Certification of qualification from an internationally or nationally recognized Montessori organization.

Skills

• Experience working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.

Pay

$20.00–$23.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM.
