Part-Time Lead Sales Associate

About the role

This position functions as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. The role involves maintaining store organization, providing excellent customer service, and supporting store profitability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks, stock merchandise, rotate and face products, and assist with merchandise displays.
• Follow procedures for receiving, opening, and unpacking shipments.
• Assist customers in locating items and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
• Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and provide friendly checkout experiences.
• Help with store setup, cleaning, and maintaining safety standards.
• In the absence of management, authorize refunds, oversee cash handling, and monitor security practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory or related experience preferred.

Skills

• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures, safety policies, and merchandise presentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and store policies.
