Part-Time Lead Sales Associate

About the role

This position involves acting as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. The role includes maintaining store displays, stocking merchandise, assisting customers, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment. It also entails operating cash registers, handling transactions, and managing store operations during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stock merchandise, follow plan‑o‑grams, and maintain displays.
• Assist customers with locating products and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate cash registers, process payments, and handle cash accurately.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning floors, restrooms, and stockrooms.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and security measures.
• In the absence of managers, authorize refunds, oversee cash accountability, and monitor security activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong math skills and knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Ability to operate cash registers and follow safety policies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of store presentation and safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory or related experience preferred.
