Part Time - Custodian

About the Role

This position involves maintaining a clean, safe, and functional school environment through custodial and minor repair duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks in offices, hallways, classrooms, gyms, and other areas, including floor care, window cleaning, and waste disposal.
• Make minor repairs such as painting, changing light bulbs, and tightening fixtures.
• Maintain school facilities, grounds, and athletic complexes, including gutters, drains, and exterior cleaning.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper chemical usage.
• Assist maintenance staff and follow directives for summer cleaning and energy conservation efforts.
• Monitor and restock custodial supplies, ensure safety protocols, and safeguard school assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 50-80 lbs., working on ladders, and handling cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to safety, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and participate in virtual or in-person tasks as needed.
• Punctuality, proper attire, and safe work practices are essential.
