Part Time - Custodian

About the role

A custodian maintains a clean, safe, and functional school environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings, sidewalks, and grounds clean and well-maintained
• Manage heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for efficiency and comfort
• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, disinfecting toilets, and cleaning hallways
• Wash windows twice a year and maintain outdoor grounds through mowing and trimming
• Make minor repairs, report major issues, and ensure the safety and security of the building
• Open and close the school building daily, secure doors and windows, and turn off lights
• Maintain inventory of supplies and conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems
• Move furniture, conduct floor polishing, and assist with general upkeep
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal
