Part Time - Custodian

About the role

Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly buildings and grounds, including restrooms, cafeterias, floors, furniture, windows, and carpets.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment such as wet-vacs, scrubbers, and buffers, following safety procedures
• Gather and dispose of trash
• Move heavy furniture
• Perform minor repairs or notify supervisors of larger issues
• Requisition supplies
• Ensure building security by locking doors, setting alarms, and monitoring safety
• Prepare facilities for events
• Adjust heating/cooling systems as needed
• Handle snow removal
• Drive school vehicles if required
• Report any child safety concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations
• Adhere to district policies
• Demonstrate proficiency with computers and related programs
• Pass background checks
• Maintain professional conduct
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license may be required
