Part Time - Convenience Store Associate

About the role

This position involves independently displaying and stocking products, processing various financial transactions, and ensuring a positive guest experience while adhering to safety and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately, including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, and coupons.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking store products.
• Operate the cash register, promote sales, enroll guests in loyalty programs, and maintain a clean service area.
• Ensure correct product identification, pricing, and signage; communicate store programs and specials to customers.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards; stock shelves and back areas as needed.
• Follow all PPE, safety, food safety, and guest experience guidelines; support other departments as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.

Skills

• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied environments.
