PART-TIME COMMUNICATIONS GAME NIGHT INTERN

About the role

Game night interns are expected to commit to working almost every home game, from the first preseason game in September to the final playoff game, which can be as late as mid-June. Interested students are advised to look at the team's home schedule prior to applying to ensure they can work at close to every game.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 3 hours before each home game
• Complete duties about an hour after each game
• Hold credentials at the media entrance
• Check in press meal attendees
• Copy and distribute media materials to press row and locker rooms
• Distribute media materials to press row and locker rooms
• Clean up press row
• Attend post-game press conference and handle audio

Qualifications

• Must be based near the Triangle area
• Entering their junior or senior years of college
• Strong personal interaction skills
• Knowledge of the sport of hockey is helpful, but not required
• Pass a criminal background check

Pay and Benefits

• Pay is $7.25 per hour
• Complimentary access to the Hurricanes' pre-game press meal
