GAME NIGHT PROMOTIONS INTERN

About the Role

This internship provides participants the chance to gain relevant sports experience in community relations and promotional settings for the Springfield Thunderbirds during the 2026-27 American Hockey League season.

Responsibilities

• Participate on the Thunderbirds Game Night Staff assisting with the fulfillment of Fan Experiences and other Community Relations Activities.
• Serve as a liaison with participating groups for game-night entertainment activities ranging from on-ice contests to concourse tables.
• Assist in the distribution of giveaways and promotional items.
• Manage concourse activities, contests, and data collection practices (Enter-to-Win raffles, etc.).
• Maintain exemplary levels of customer service and assistance with patrons.
• Assist at team signings, practices, and community appearances when necessary.
• Perform other various duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to receive Academic Credit for the internship.
• High school students looking to fulfill required community/volunteer hours may track their own hours using their respective high school’s volunteer hours form.
• It is highly recommended that game night interns be local to the Springfield area and available for all regular season home games.

There is no salary or stipend for this position.
