Part-Time Clinical Nurse - Operating Room

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced perioperative environment, focusing on abdominal, pelvic, GYN, urology, and general surgery procedures within a hospital's operating rooms. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams, assisting with complex surgeries, and utilizing advanced technologies, including integrated ORs and robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Promoting patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
• Developing, implementing, and documenting personalized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual factors.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure; no prior experience necessary, but two years of experience is preferred.

Skills

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts (0900-2130), no call requirements, and one holiday per year.
