Part-Time Registered Nurse - Operating Room

About the role

The RN Clinical Periop Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in the operating room for general surgery, working as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
• Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
• Ensure documentation, promote teamwork, and support performance improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor, participate in research, and uphold clinical standards and organizational policies.
• Contribute to protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
• Associates or diploma in nursing; Bachelors preferred.
• Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Strong clinical, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
