Part Time - City Driver

Position Overview: Operate tractor-trailers to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, supporting sales efforts. Responsibilities Include Driving various truck configurations, including doubles and triples where applicablePerforming daily safety inspections and trailer hookupsHandling freight using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucksSecuring freight inside trailers with straps, pallets, and ropesVerifying documentation, complying with hazardous material regulations, and maintaining recordsCommunicating with dispatch and customers, soliciting additional business, and providing customer servicePerforming vehicle repairs like chaining tires and possibly duties of road drivers or dock employees when needed Qualifications And Skills Class A CDL with endorsements for double/triple, hazardous materials, and tanks; automatic transmission restriction acceptableAt least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development courseAcceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulationsAbility to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in a teamGood communication skills and ability to follow instructions Working Conditions: Driving in diverse weather and road conditions, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials, with variable hours based on operational needs.
