Part Time - City Driver

Position Overview: Responsible for pick-up and delivery of freight between service centers and customers while supporting sales efforts. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples and straight trucks.Conduct daily pre-trip and safety inspections; hook/unhook trailers and perform freight handling using motorized/manual equipment.Secure freight with pallets, straps, and ropes; repair damaged freight as needed.Verify documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and collect freight charges when required.Follow dispatch instructions, communicate delays or issues, and interact with customers for pick-up/delivery needs and sales leads.May perform tire chaining, road driving, or dock duties as operationally necessary. Qualifications & Skills Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction may apply.At least one year of recent driving experience or successful completion of a driver development course.Valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), meet DOT regulations, and ability to perform basic math and lift up to 100 pounds.Strong communication skills, ability to work independently or in a team, and following instructions. Work Conditions: Drive in various weather and road conditions, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials, with adaptable hours based on operational needs. Compensation & Benefits: Hourly pay range from $33.63 to $38.94, with mileage pay for linehaul duties, plus health, vision, dental, 401(k), bonuses, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and holidays.
