Part-Time City Driver

Position Overview: Responsible for picking up and delivering freight between service centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely, safe transportation. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, adhering to safety and operational standards.Perform daily equipment inspections and handle freight using motorized and manual tools.Secure freight properly and repair damaged cargo as needed.Complete documentation, verify deliveries, and comply with hazardous material regulations.Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, needs, and potential issues.Solicit additional business and provide leads for sales opportunities.May perform chaining, and duties of road driver or dock employee when necessary.Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Qualifications & Skills Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements.Minimum of one year recent driving experience or completion of development course.Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and follow instructions.Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills. Working Conditions: Driving in various weather and road conditions, exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Flexibility in hours due to operational needs.
