About the role
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Bistro Cook to join our team at our Courtyard Baton Rouge Downtown hotel. As a Bistro Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in our bistro, ensuring an excellent dining experience for our guests.
What you’ll do
- Execute menu items with precision and creativity, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as needed.

Skills, Education and Experience
- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a bistro or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Must have attention to detail with the ability to be thorough in your work.
- Must be able to work independently while maintaining timelines.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises.
