Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative and business operations of the Autism Center.
  • Provide administrative supervision and support to Behavior Technicians while collaborating with the Autism Coordinator/BCBA regarding clinical matters.
  • Develop and maintain monthly client and staff schedules to maximize continuity of services and effective use of staff resources.
  • Cookordinate and maintain agency vehicle schedules for Autism Services.
  • Monitor daily staffing needs and coordinate coverage when Behavior Technicians are absent, including contacting available substitute staff.
  • Manage staff call-ins, attendance issues, schedule changes, and time-off requests in accordance with agency policies and program needs.
  • Assist with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, and retention of Behavior Technicians and other Autism Services staff.
  • Coordinate HR-related processes and serve as a liaison between Autism Services staff and the agency's Human Resources department.
  • Provide coaching and support related to employee expectations, attendance, communication, professionalism, and other non-clinical performance matters.
  • Participate in employee performance evaluations in collaboration with the Autism Coordinator/BCBA, with each supervisor providing input within their respective areas of responsibility.
  • Communicate operational information and schedule changes to staff, clients, families, and program leadership as appropriate.
  • Maintain organized and accurate administrative, staffing, and scheduling records.
  • Identify operational challenges and develop solutions in collaboration with the Autism Coordinator/BCBA and agency leadership.
  • Promote a positive, organized, responsive, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Perform other administrative and program management duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills and must be able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment where schedules and staffing needs may change quickly.
  • Previous experience in supervision, office or program management, human resources, staff scheduling, healthcare, behavioral health, or a related setting is preferred.
  • The successful candidate must also demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive employee and client information appropriately, work independently, and develop positive working relationships with employees, families, leadership, and community partners.
  • Proficiency with computers and common office software and a valid Michigan driver's license are required.
