Part Time After School Educator -Mesquite
Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. About the role
Part-time after-school Educator positions are available. You will drive the mission by organizing and facilitating daily activities, leading by example, prioritizing safety and joy, and communicating effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
- Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older with a High School diploma or GED.
- Background clearance completion required.
- One year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare group setting (required).
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
Qualifications
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (required).
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Pay
$15-$18 per hour, depending on years of experience working with kids in a group setting.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm (may vary slightly).
