Part-Time Accounting Coordinator

About the role
We are looking for an entry-level Accounting Coordinator to join our growing and dynamic U.S. team. This role will provide day-to-day accounting support to both our Finance and Production teams, helping ensure our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation in production accounting.
This is a part-time position for approximately 20-30 hours per week, with 2 full in-office shifts required per week at our Glassell Park studio during regular business hours. The role has the potential to grow into a full-time opportunity as the company expands.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process weekly accounts payable runs, including urgent payment requests as needed.
- Follow up with employees and vendors to obtain missing receipts, invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain organized accounts payable records and ensure proper documentation is retained.
- Account Reconciliations
- Complete monthly balance sheet and account reconciliations in accordance with the month-end close schedule.
- Ensure reconciliations are completed accurately and on time each month.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, working with internal teams and vendors as needed.
- Escalate outstanding issues when appropriate.
- Production Accounting
- Collect and organize production receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation throughout each project.
- Provide day-to-day accounting support to production teams and assist with financial inquiries.
- Process production-related vendor payments and crew reimbursements accurately and on schedule.
- Assist in maintaining complete and organized financial records for each production.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, internship, or relevant office experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive financial and company information.
- Familiarity with reconciliations and general accounting processes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
- Experience with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar ERP systems) is a plus.
- Experience with Wrapbook or other production payroll/accounting platforms is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a collaborative finance team.
- Experience in production, entertainment, advertising, or project-based accounting is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, or crouch.
- Must be able to work at a computer in an office setting and remain in a stationary position 50% - 100% of the time.

Pay
The pay rate for this role is $25 per hour (Los Angeles), with the final offer dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
