• Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, administer first aid, and assist in search and rescue situations
• Facility Inspection: Inspect docks, buildings, and structures for hazards, cleanliness, and maintenance needs
• Information Management: Maintain bulletin boards, complete daily reports, and ensure maps and materials are stocked
• Communication Duties: Operate a two-way radio, answer telephones, and record accurate messages

Schedule

• This is a seasonal, full-time position. The season runs from approximately April 2026 until November 2026, at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment April 2027.
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday - Tuesday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework is not available in this position.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active motor vehicle license
• Must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment
• Must meet PA residency requirements
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a background investigation
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
