Responsibilities
- Facility Repairs: Make repairs to park buildings and structures using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related tools
- Equipment Care: Operate vehicles and equipment, as well as assist with cleaning and basic maintenance
- Grounds Work: Maintain outdoor areas by mowing, trimming, planting, cleaning, and preparing sites
- Construction Tasks: Build simple forms, mix and place cement, and complete masonry work as needed
- Housekeeping Duties: Clean restrooms, offices, and other buildings and perform minor routine repairs
- Visitor Assistance: Provide helpful information to park visitors in a friendly manner
Schedule
This is a seasonal, full-time position running from approximately March 2026 until November 2026. The employee will be placed on leave without pay after November 2026 and automatically returned to employment around March 2027.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Work shifts and days will vary, consisting of 5 days and 37.5 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. Telework is not an option for this position.
Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
