Park Maintenance Worker (Semi Skilled Laborer) - R.B. Winter State Park Complex

Description of Work
- Facility Maintenance: Complete minor repairs, cleaning, and adjustments to buildings and equipment
- Building Repair: Perform routine work such as painting, fixing roofs, and repairing windows using hand and power tools
- Grounds Care: Prepare soil, mow and trim turf, prune trees, and maintain park trails
- Equipment Operation: Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and chainsaws for various park tasks
- Vehicle Upkeep: Perform basic maintenance on park vehicles including checking fluids and cleaning
- Visitor Support: Provide general park information, remove litter, and assist during emergencies
Qualifications Required
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday - Sunday, with a 30-minute lunch. Days and shifts will vary due to seasonal nature of this position. This position may require overtime and travel.
