Park Maintenance Worker (Semi Skilled Laborer) - Oil Creek State Park (Seasonal)
Description of Work
- Grounds Maintenance: Mow grass, trim brush, remove snow, and complete other upkeep tasks around park areas
- Facility Cleaning: Clean restrooms, washhouses, and other park buildings to maintain visitor comfort
- Tool and Equipment Use: Operate hand tools, power tools, tractors, and other equipment safely and correctly
- Repair Assistance: Help skilled workers with basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and building repairs
- Material Handling: Load and move materials such as sand, gravel, and debris using appropriate tools
- General Support: Drive trucks, assist coworkers, and complete tasks that support daily park operations
Work Schedule and Additional Information
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately April 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately April 2027. Work schedule will vary due to the seasonal nature of the position.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
