Park Maintenance Worker (Semi Skilled Laborer) - Kettle Creek State Park Complex
Description of Work
This position supports park operations by performing maintenance tasks, caring for park grounds, and assisting with facility repairs. Through your work, you will help keep buildings, trails, and public areas clean, safe, and ready for visitors. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Building Upkeep: Clean and maintain park buildings, restrooms, pavilions, and other facilities
- Grounds Care: Mow grass, use trimmers and power tools, perform landscaping, and maintain trails and shoreline areas
- Repair Tasks: Assist with construction, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance projects
- Equipment Use: Operate hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and small equipment needed for maintenance work
- Public Interaction: Provide directions, answer questions, and assist visitors in a professional and respectful manner
- Record Keeping: Complete required forms such as daily logs, equipment records, and fuel documentation
Qualifications Required
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction ; or An equivalent combination of experience and training .
