About the role

Generac is expanding its legal team with the addition of a Paralegal. This role is part of the Commercial Legal team, focusing on commercial law, legal operations, and business enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, administer and continuously improve the company's contract lifecycle management platform.

  • Lead the development of workflows, templates, reporting, user training and adoption for the CLM platform.

  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and standardize contracting processes.

  • Partner within Legal, IT, Procurement, Sales and other stakeholders to maximize platform effectiveness and user experience.

  • Review, draft, revise and negotiate commercial agreements using approved playbooks and contract standards.

  • Aid attorneys with commercial transactions, escalations and contract-related risk assessments.

  • Maintain contract templates and policies and support continuous improvement of contracting tools and processes.

  • Cover contract execution, reporting and compliance activities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in paralegal studies or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate environment.

  • Experience reviewing and managing commercial agreements.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal technology platforms.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting commercial transactions in a manufacturing, industrial, technology, or publicly traded company environment.

  • Experience implementing or administering a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform.

  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or divestiture transactions.

  • Experience with legal operations and e-billing tools.

  • Paralegal certification (NALA, NFPA, or equivalent).

  • Demonstrated strength in continuous improvement implementation.

  • Knowledge of legal technology, contract lifecycle management and process improvement.

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and judgment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, improve processes and drive work to completion.

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, accountability and ownership.

  • Flexibility and resilience in managing changing priorities and evolving business needs.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
