Paralegal
Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and related case materials.
- Maintain organized case files, monitor key dates, and coordinate calendars to help ensure deadlines are met across active matters.
- Support billing processes by reviewing time entries, assisting with invoicing, and helping track client account activity.
- Use legal research platforms and case management systems to locate information, update records, and monitor matter progress.
- Absorb and draft clear correspondence and help manage communications with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties.
- Partner with attorneys on litigation support activities, including trial preparation and document organization for hearings and proceedings.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a litigation-focused environment.
- Hands-on experience with discovery, civil litigation support, and trial preparation.
- Proficiency with case management software and legal technology tools used in daily practice.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced legal setting.
- Excellent written communication skills for preparing legal documents and precise correspondence.
- Familiarity with court filing procedures, deadline tracking, and document handling best practices.
- Ability to work on-site on a permanent basis in Collinsville, Illinois.
