Responsibilities
- Prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents for attorney review
- File court documents electronically and maintain accurate case records
- Organize discovery materials and track outstanding requests and responses
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, meetings, and other case-related scheduling
- Maintain calendars and monitor litigation deadlines
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties as directed
- Assist with settlement documentation and preparation for hearings and trial
- Keep the partner informed of upcoming deadlines, outstanding items, and case needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a litigation paralegal or in a comparable legal support role
- Insurance defense experience preferred
- Experience supporting pleadings, discovery, scheduling, and case management
- Familiarity with Georgia court procedures and electronic filing is a plus
- Strong written communication, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and follow through on assignments
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, legal documents, and case-management software
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
Pay
$50,000–$65,000 annual salary.
