Overnight Grocery Associate

Job Summary

Aids the department manager in achieving sales and profit targets. Restocks products overnight. Enhances customer confidence and loyalty through consistent and compliant operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Creates welcoming, valued environments to foster customer confidence and loyalty.

• Maintains merchandise according to plans, ensures shelves are stocked appropriately, and checks for freshness and proper temperatures.

• Assists customers in locating or recommending products and provides courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service.

• Ensures compliance with company, department, and job-specific policies and adheres to local, state, and federal laws.

• Maintains accurate inventory records, inspects products for quality and freshness, and follows food safety guidelines.

• Maintains a safe working environment, reports and addresses safety hazards, and ensures compliance with wage and hour policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.

• Pre-employment drug testing and background check required.

• Strong customer service, interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work in various environmental conditions and with hazardous equipment.

• Physical demands: standing, walking, reaching, carrying, pushing, lifting up to 50 lbs., sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, twisting, and working in cold, wet, and humid conditions.

• Safety risk factors: exposure to loud noise, skin irritants, dust, fumes, sprays, cleaning solutions, and toxins.
