Overnight Grocery Associate
Job Summary
Aids the department manager in achieving sales and profit targets. Restocks products overnight. Enhances customer confidence and loyalty through consistent and compliant operations.
Essential Responsibilities
Creates welcoming, valued environments to foster customer confidence and loyalty.
Maintains product availability, freshness, and condition according to plan.
Assists customers in finding or suggesting products.
Leadership
Promotes trust and respect among team members through collaboration and communication.
Adheres to all relevant laws and company guidelines.
Financial
Maintains awareness of inventory and reports discrepancies.
Ensures product quality and freshness, taking corrective actions as needed.
Maintains proper temperatures and records temperature logs.
Compliance/Safety
Maintains company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity.
Executes product recalls and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
Notifies management of accidents, reports safety risks, and handles illegal activities.
Ensures adherence to wage and hour policies.
Cultivates a safety-conscious culture and ensures all associates receive necessary training.
Inspects and reports unsafe conditions, ensures personal protective equipment is available, and assists with equipment repairs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
Strong customer service skills.
Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
Frequent exposure to physical demands including standing, walking, reaching, carrying, pushing, lifting, sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, twisting, and working in various environmental conditions.
Exposure to safety risks including twisting back and neck, working on slippery or cluttered surfaces, working with hazardous equipment, being exposed to sharp objects, loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes, sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions, and toxins.
Use of required and preferred equipment including cleaning supplies, general office equipment, registers, pricing guns, scales, scanners, material handling equipment, safety gear, and personal protective equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
