Job Summary

Aids the department manager in achieving sales and profit targets set for the department. Restocks products overnight. Enhances customer confidence and loyalty through consistent and compliant operations. Ensures fresh, appealing products and provides courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service. Values diversity and fosters an inclusive environment.

About the Role

Ensures the department meets plan specifications and maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization. Assists customers in locating or recommending products. Manages inventory and reports discrepancies. Maintains product quality and temperature compliance. Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. Handles product recalls and ensures safety protocols are followed. Notifies management of incidents and adheres to legal and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Creates welcoming and respectful environments to build customer confidence and loyalty.
  • Maintains merchandise displays according to plan specifications.
  • Ensures shelves are stocked with adequate quantities of products, including maintaining proper product order integrity and signage.
  • Assists customers in finding or suggesting products.
  • Maintains daily conditions meeting company standards for product availability, freshness, and temperature compliance.
  • Monitors and reports inventory discrepancies.
  • Inspects products for quality and freshness, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintains proper temperature levels for food safety and documents temperature logs.
  • Promotes trust and respect among associates through collaboration, teamwork, and clear communication.
  • Adheres to all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company guidelines.
  • Maintains compliance with safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards.
  • Executes product recalls and withdrawals promptly, securing and removing items from customer access.
  • Cultivates a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures, identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, and ensuring personal protective equipment is used.
  • Maintains equipment in good condition and reports and assists with addressing safety hazards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 0-3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional communication and motivational abilities.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts.
