Aids the department manager in achieving sales and profit targets set for the department. Restocks products overnight. About the Role
Provides fresh and appealing products, courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service. Ensures the department is merchandised according to plans. Maintains daily conditions meeting the company's expectations for shelf product availability, freshness, product rotation, inventory levels, and stocking, including POG integrity and shelf price tags/signage. Orders and maintains cooler/freezer temperatures as per food safety guidelines and records temperature logs. Maintains compliance with company standards for safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity. Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements like USDA and COOL, and executes recalls and withdrawals promptly. Ensures safety programs are followed, identifies unsafe conditions, and reports incidents to management. Adheres to wage and hour policies. Cultivates a safe work environment.
Responsibilities

- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
- Maintains awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and reports discrepancies.
- Inspects products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate actions.
- Maintains proper temperatures for food safety, documenting logs.
- Maintains safety standards, adheres to food safety regulations, and executes recalls and withdrawals.
- Cultivates a culture of safety, ensures associates receive necessary training, and reports unsafe conditions.
- Ensures equipment is in good repair and assists with remediation of safety hazards.
- Notifies management of accidents and reports safety risks, illegal activities, and non-compliance.
- Adheres to wage and hour policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heated, and wet/humid environments.
- Frequent exposure to physical demands such as standing, walking, reaching, carrying, pushing, lifting, sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, twisting, and working with hazardous equipment.
- Exposure to loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes, and sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions, and toxins.
- Use of personal protective equipment (Goggles, Gloves, Back Brace).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
