Outpatient Oncology Infusion Nurse
Role Overview
Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation following nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities while engaging in ongoing professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care settings. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, and spiritual factors. This safety-sensitive position requires alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred
- No prior experience required, but 2+ years of RN experience and oncology background are preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
