Outpatient Oncology Infusion Nurse

About the role

This role involves providing direct patient care within a hospital setting, focusing on oncology and outpatient infusion services.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care activities
• Promoting patient and family-centered care
• Educating patients on managing their illness, medications, and post-treatment needs
• Developing individualized care plans
• Collaborating with the healthcare team
• Ensuring communication across care settings
• Emphasizing safety, critical nursing skills, and adherence to standards of care
• Assessing physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree with RN licensure (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience (preferred)
• Previous oncology experience (preferred)
• Chemo certification (preferred)
