Outdoor Living Consultant

THE OPPORTUNITY A growing luxury outdoor living company is seeking an experienced Outdoor Living Consultant to join its team and take ownership of the client experience from the initial inquiry through signed contract and construction handoff. This is a unique opportunity for someone who understands that successful outdoor living projects require more than great sales and more than beautiful designs. The ideal candidate can sell the vision, bring it to life through professional 2D and 3D design, understand construction feasibility, and deliver a clean project to the construction team. You will work directly with affluent residential clients designing highly customized outdoor environments while managing your own sales pipeline and client relationships. What You'll Do Sales & Client Management Own the sales process from initial lead through signed contractConduct in home and onsite consultationsUnderstand client goals, property conditions, lifestyle needs, and budgetMaintain an organized CRM pipeline with consistent follow upDevelop proposals and guide clients through the decision making processMeet or exceed established sales goalsBuild referral opportunities and long term client relationships Design & Visualization Design custom pools and complete outdoor living environmentsCreate professional 2D and 3D renderings using Pool StudioDevelop concepts incorporating pools, spas, patios, hardscapes, outdoor kitchens, fire features, pool houses, bars, structures, lighting, water features, decking, and finishesPresent designs to clients and make revisions based on feedbackEnsure designs remain aligned with budget, site conditions, and construction feasibility Client Experience & Construction Handoff Serve as the primary client contact throughout the sales and design processCoordinate accurate project handoffs to the construction teamEnsure drawings, selections, scope, and site details are completeRemain involved during construction when clarification or client support is neededRepresent the company professionally at showrooms, home shows, trade events, and community functions What We're Looking For 5+ years of pool design, pool construction, building, or related experienceHands on Pool Studio experience is requiredProven sales experience within pools, construction, landscaping, luxury home services, or outdoor livingStrong understanding of residential construction, materials, site conditions, and project feasibilityAbility to both sell and design custom projectsExcellent communication and presentation skillsHighly organized with strong follow throughComfortable working independently and managing multiple active opportunitiesProfessional, polished presence with affluent residential clientsWillingness to travel throughout South Carolina and Western North CarolinaFlexibility to accommodate occasional evening and weekend appointments THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The strongest candidate will be someone who can confidently answer yes to all three: Can you sell it? Can you design it? Can you understand how to build it? If you have a background in custom pools, luxury outdoor living, design build, pool sales and design, or residential construction and are ready for a role where you can own the entire client experience, this could be an excellent opportunity.
