About the role
Works under the direction of the Talent Management Senior Manager to administer organizational development, training, change management, employee engagement, and workforce effectiveness programs.
Responsibilities
- Identifies skills gaps, designs training curricula, and delivers leadership or professional development sessions.
- Leads employee development initiatives, career pathway programs, and the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and applicable standards.
- Develops and manages professional development, career counseling, and inclusive workforce initiatives.
- Designs, develops, and delivers leadership and professional training programs using needs assessment and instructional design methods.
- Analyzes factors affecting employee morale, motivation, supervision, and leadership, and recommends improvements to organizational effectiveness.
- Conducts research on organizational structures, communication systems, and workforce dynamics.
- Partners with internal stakeholders, business units, and consultants to conduct applied research and support organizational initiatives.
- Manages the LMS, including system implementation, maintenance, enhancements, and reporting.
- Career pathway programs, including Urban Fellows initiatives.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, assessments, and performance metrics, and adjusts as necessary.
- Facilitates workshops and training sessions as needed.
- Assists in the development and administer of surveys, performs statistical analyses, and develops competency models.
- Directs the development of learning materials, including web-based training, reference guides, and instructional content.
- Sets up and maintains the LMS.
- Assigns and reviews work, evaluates employee performance, and supports staff development.
- Leads organizational development projects, implements risk management practices, and collaborates with leadership and stakeholders to support strategic objectives.
- Supports leadership in communicating key organizational messages, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and culture.
- Facilitates open communication across teams to promote collaboration, transparency, and a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a closely related field and nine (9) years of practical experience in human resources, leadership training, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience which enables successful performance of the essential job functions.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional coaching certifications such as Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Master Certified Coach (MCC), Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Public Sector HR Association – Certified Professional (PSHRA-CP) or similar credentials are preferred.
- Working experience using various computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office and Oracle, is preferred.
Pay
Salary Range: $93,302.04 - $123,625.32
