Optometry Practice Manager

About the role

The Practice Manager works in partnership with the doctor(s) and regional manager to ensure the business operations run smoothly and professionally. This position requires strong leadership skills with the ability to elevate staff, deliver exceptional care, and develop the practice as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Staff Management: Conduct Patient Interaction Assessments, conduct Staff Performance Assessments, recognize and connect with staff through open lines of communication and coaching.
• Performance Management: Identify opportunities for practice growth, provide recommendations regarding appropriate strategies, administer plans of action, and monitor effectiveness of such efforts through appropriate measures and review.
• Asset Management: Monitor compliance with confidentiality policy, maintain MWEC processes, monitor and protect practice assets.
• Risk Management: Provide insight into key areas of risk, review facility documentation requirement list, ensure 100% compliance.
• Key Performance Indicators (Financial Management): Monitor financial procedures, ensure optimal efficiency and profitability within the practice.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the regional manager and doctor(s).

Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Minimum of 1 year previous management experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
• Experience in optometry is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range of $40,000+ annually based on previous experience
• Bonus Opportunity based upon practice performance
