About the role
We are hiring for the Operating Room Assistant position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!
Position is Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, hazard-free, clean environment that facilitates patient-focused care.
- Handle equipment and supplies, clean and decontaminate Operating Rooms and equipment.
- Transport patients.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on a variety of technical equipment used in the operating room.
- Assist with providing patient care in the Operating Room under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and the Lead OR assistant.
Requirements
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 6 months Internal OR Assistant I candidates: Operating Room Assistant experience with completion of Operating Room Assistant competency program.
- 1 year External candidates: Experience as Operating Room Assistant or equivalent in a hospital-based operating room.
Qualifications
- Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
