Operating Room Assistant

We are looking to hire an Operating Room Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Absorb and execute the physical management of patients.
- Complete or assist with surgical preps.
- Absorb and execute patient positioning.
- Show the ability to understand and follow directions.
- Clean equipment and operating rooms between procedures.
- Stock supplies throughout the department.
- Check and fill nitrous and oxygen tanks.
- Transport and log specimens per department policy to the lab department.
- Obtain blood from the blood bank as directed by the registered nurse.
- Put away extra supplies at the end of procedures and transport used instrumentation to the decontamination department.
- Show knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization.
- Open sterile supplies for procedures.
- Absorb and execute patient monitoring device application under discretion of the registered nurse.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Mandatory Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Reporting Training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

Schedule
Schedule: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday preferredAlternate 4-day workweek may be considered (four 10-hour shifts, 7:00am - 5:30pm)
