Operating Room Assistant

About the role

This posting represents a 1 FTE, Day shift opening (5, 8-hr shifts working from 0640-1520) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision and direction of the registered perioperative nurse.
• Aids in the OR function by assisting the anesthesia provider.
• Cleans and prepares operating rooms.
• Safely transports patients.
• Retrieves and decontaminates equipment.
• Stocks general supplies in the operating rooms and work room.
• Processes and maintains equipment, supplies, instruments, and other related equipment as needed.

Requirements

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 1 year clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room experience.

• Required Qualifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 1 year clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room experience.
• Preferred Qualification: Anesthesia experience.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
