Operating Room Assistant

The surgical unit is equipped with advanced technology, including a robust robotic program, and offers a diverse range of procedures in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Cleans, procures equipment and opens sterile supplies for operating room preparation
- Provides transportation and needed assistance with patient care
- Aids Surgical Techs and Nurses with various assigned duties
- Works as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, surgical technologists and other surgical personnel
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred
- AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required
Qualifications
- Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field
- Physical stamina and proper lifting techniques required
Skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This position is a day shift role. On-call and Holiday required.
