About the role
Ohio University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, open-rank faculty position in Electronics, located in Athens, Ohio. The start date is August 16, 2027, with an earlier start of January 1, 2027 possible. The application deadline is September 1, 2026.
Requirements
- PhD in Psychology or closely related discipline at time of appointment
- Substantial record of publication in top I/O journals like Personnel Psychology and Journal of Applied Psychology
- Graduated from distinguished I/O program
- Evidence of research productivity
- Strong potential for securing external research funding (preferred)
- Evidence of effective teaching (preferred)
- Experience mentoring students in research (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Maintain active, high-quality, fundable research program
- Direct graduate student research
- Teach graduate and undergraduate courses
- Teaching load 1-2 courses each semester for highly active researcher
- Summer teaching with additional compensation
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service
Endowed Chair
The Byham Chair is a five-year renewable endowed position with additional salary and spending account for research, travel, and program enhancement activities.
