About the role
The Oncology Account Specialist contributes to regional account sales, service, and support activities for Breast Cancer Index and CancerTYPE ID. This role serves as a key liaison between Hologic and oncology practices, ensuring a seamless customer experience integrating BCI/CTID into clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Work with an assigned team to grow, maintain, and support existing customers.
- Build relationships with key personnel at assigned Oncology accounts to facilitate unit growth.
- Co-travel or solo travel within designated areas representing Hologic Oncology products; may require extended travel to support open territories.
- Maintain daily communication and working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Master internal Hologic processes including provider portal, test ordering, missing information, and billing.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by supporting logistics, onboarding, and troubleshooting test orders.
- Become an expert on all Hologic Oncology products.
- Utilize and maintain internal reports; assist in building key customer-facing reports and presentations.
- Serve as the point of contact for post-sale support and follow-up, maintaining strong communication with internal teams such as client services, medical affairs, and billing.
Requirements
- Must work independently with an internal drive to be successful.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Valid driving license, satisfactory driving record, and a serviceable vehicle available for work use (extensive driving required).
- Evidence of flexibility, team-orientation, self-motivation, solid judgment, and a strong work ethic.
- Strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- 70%+ travel required; duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
- Duties are typically performed in a medical office or hospital setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1 year of sales experience or account management required; 2 years preferred.
- Background in medical or biological sciences preferred.
Pay
The total compensation range for this role is $105,000 to $110,000, based on a combination of base salary and commission plan. Final compensation packages will depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory/geography, education, business needs, market demand, and performance versus quota.
