About the role

The Oncology Account Specialist serves as a key liaison between Hologic and oncology practices, ensuring seamless integration of Breast Cancer Index (BCI) and CancerTYPE ID (CTID) into clinical practice. This role contributes to regional account sales, service, and support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with an assigned team to grow, maintain, and support existing customers.
  • Build relationships with key personnel at assigned Oncology accounts to facilitate unit growth.
  • Travel within designated areas (co-travel or solo) to represent Hologic Oncology products; may require extended travel to support open territories.
  • Maintain daily communication and working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Become an expert in internal Hologic processes, including provider portal, test ordering, missing information, and billing.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by supporting logistics, onboarding, and troubleshooting test orders.
  • Develop expertise in all Hologic Oncology products.
  • Utilize and maintain internal reports; assist in building key customer-facing reports and presentations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for post-sale support and follow-up, maintaining strong communication with internal teams such as client services, medical affairs, and billing.

Requirements

  • Must work independently with a strong internal drive to succeed.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and a serviceable vehicle for work use (extensive driving required).
  • Evidence of flexibility, team-orientation, self-motivation, solid judgment, and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1 year of sales experience or account management required; 2 years preferred.
  • Background in medical or biological sciences preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Duties are typically performed in a medical office or hospital setting.
  • May require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
  • 70%+ travel required.

Pay

The total compensation range for this role is $105,000 to $110,000, based on a combination of base salary and commission. Final compensation will depend on factors such as relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory/geography, education, business needs, market demand, and performance versus quota.
