About the role
The On Call, Office Support Specialist II at LifeWorks NW supports clinical staff in a fast-paced clinical front office setting. This role involves answering inquiries, obtaining information, and performing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and direct visitors to appropriate destinations
- Greet and assist clients and staff
- Perform insurance verifications, set client fees, and manage payment agreements
- Update and maintain records in proprietary software
- Manage office paperwork and flow
- Serve as a back-up for other administrative positions as needed
- Handle data entry, reference information, schedule appointments, and run reports
- Perform scanning, copying, and faxing as needed
- Receive and record payments, and maintain appointment calendars
- Provide information about the establishment and handle customer complaints
- Unload and sort courier items and office supplies as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Previous experience or formal education in a clinical setting preferred
- Prior experience as a receptionist in a mental health setting preferred
- Good computer skills including knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, 10-key, and electronic record systems
- Ability to master proprietary software including on-line scheduling and billing
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain cooperative relationships in a culturally diverse environment
- May require fluency in another language and experience in a specific culture
- Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends may be required
