Office Operations Assistant
About the role
The Department of Human Services, Bureau for Family Assistance seeks an Office Assistant 2 with at least two years of paid routine office experience.
Responsibilities
- Customer service
- Logging clients to the appropriate department
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Scanning documents
- Running, sorting, distributing, and scanning mail, email, and faxes
- Following office policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and office machines preferred
- Routine operation of various types of office equipment
- May be trained in areas such as a financial clerk and an equipment coordinator to assist in a backup role
- Some travel and a valid driver's license is required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
