Responsibilities
- Provide clerical and administrative support to assigned school site personnel, including functionality specific to site administrator assignments (e.g., career/college specialty).
- Communicate information to staff and the public, implement assigned functions, maintain complete and accurate records, and provide information and direction as requested.
- Answer telephone calls to screen, transfer, respond to inquiries, or take messages.
- Assist with processing documents, forms, mailings, and materials (e.g., attendance, enrollments) to disseminate information to appropriate parties.
- Attend department and/or in-service meetings to gather information required for job functions.
- Collect payments for various events (e.g., fines, fees, fundraisers) to complete transactions and secure funds.
- Distribute materials (e.g., mail, checks, supplies, messages) to ensure delivery to the correct recipients.
- Implement processes and projects (e.g., college and career procedures, site projects) to ensure the execution of site activities and processes.
- Implement site processes (e.g., discipline issues, subject area assignments, safe spaces for students, bus coordination, substitute teachers) to provide up-to-date information and maintain compliance with administrative guidelines and legal requirements.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and materials (e.g., forms, office supplies) to ensure availability.
- Monitor students referred for illness or disciplinary action (e.g., observing behavior, collaborating with counselors) to ensure student welfare and maintain a secure office environment.
- Prepare standardized documents (e.g., form letters, memos, calendars, bulletins) to communicate information to other parties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Requirements
- Age 16 or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Job-related experience is desired.
