Office Assistant - Per Diem
Valley Children’s Hospital Perioperative Department is a robust division incorporating many procedural areas and support services. It supports every service line within the hospital, providing care to patients in the Central Valley and surrounding areas, and collaborates with outlying facilities to deliver the best care. The Day Surgery process includes pre-op admitting, patient assessment, and preparation for surgery, with common procedures such as ENT, orthopedics, and general surgeries for patients ranging from newborns to young adults. Post-op phase II involves a separate recovery area where patients reunite with family and prepare for discharge. The department employs skilled professionals, including registered nurses, operating room technicians, sterile processing technicians, and imaging technicians, offering advancement opportunities for self-development and process improvements.
About the role
Under general supervision, performs routine clerical duties for functional group(s), including compiling and arranging data, making standard computations, processing and coding documents, and maintaining records and files. May greet customers and visitors, schedule appointments, operate a multi-line telephone, and route incoming or place outgoing calls. Routines are generally prescribed, and supervision is readily available.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. (required)
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience; clerical experience preferred (required)

Pay
$24.15 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule
