Office Assistant - Oso Creek Campus

About the role
Provide clerical support to the Office of the Dean of Student Engagement and Retention by assisting the Dean, Assistant Dean, Director, Coordinator, and Administrative Assistant II with clerical functions and support activities.
Responsibilities
- Receive and refer visitors and calls to the office; take and distribute messages; distribute mail.
- Provide clerical assistance for Dean of Student Engagement and Retention staff with forms (typing, processing & follow-up of Key Requests, Work Requests, Business Cards, ETR’s, After-Hours, Duplicating, Student Travel Requests).
- Assist staff in preparation for and participate in College-wide activities including outreach events, support service fairs, registration, advising, etc.
- Maintain calendar of appointments.
- Conduct inventories and maintain inventory records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Six (6) months office/clerical related experience.
Skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy maintaining records.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and public.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a higher education setting.
Pay
$13.29 - $16.95 per hour.
