About the role
The Office Administrator (OA) reports to the Regional Director of Office Administration with a dotted line to the Office Managing Partner(s) and Administrative Partner(s) of the offices they directly oversee. The OA supervises all local office secretaries, paralegals, operations, docketing and other professional staff that directly report to them in the local offices they oversee. The assigned office(s) is subject to change depending on the location of the OA.
Responsibilities
- Supervise local office secretaries, paralegals, operations, docketing and other professional staff
- Partner with fellow OA's, Practice Group Leaders, Litigation Support, IT, Finance, and senior administrative leadership to support a cohesive operational infrastructure
- Support the development and maintenance of an efficient, high-quality vendor ecosystem across the firm
- Drive consistency, service excellence, and operational effectiveness within the firm
- Balance firmwide consistency with local office needs
Requirements
- Seasoned law firm administrator with strong operational acumen and people leadership skills
- Sound judgment and the ability to balance firmwide consistency with local office needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in a law firm setting
- Experience managing a team of administrative professionals
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
