Occupational Therapist, Scranton Rehab Hospital (Call-In, Days)

About the role

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements treatment for assigned patients under the supervision of the Director of Rehab and OT Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and plans care for assigned patients
• Implements treatment plans based on assessment data
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
• Affirmatively assesses patient data reflective of their status
• Identifies patient requirements relative to age-specific needs
• Provides care in accordance with Occupational Therapy Department policies and procedures
• Exercises limited supervision over COTAs, aides, students, volunteers/observers

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
• One to two years of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the PA State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs
• Clearances from PA State Police, PA Department of Public Welfare, PA Department of Human Services, and PA Department of Aging
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, patients, and families
• Valid PA driver's license due to travel requirements
• CPR Certification must be obtained and maintained
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and cultural needs of the patient served
• NBCOT certification preferred

Qualifications

Current licensure (or license eligible) as an Occupational Therapist by the PA State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs is required.
