About the role
The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements treatment for assigned patients under the supervision of the Director of Rehab and OT Team Leader.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and plans care for assigned patients
- Implements treatment plans based on assessment data
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
- Affirmatively assesses patient data reflective of their status
- Identifies patient requirements relative to age-specific needs
- Provides care in accordance with Occupational Therapy Department policies and procedures
- Exercises limited supervision over COTAs, aides, students, volunteers/observers
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
- One to two years of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the PA State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs
- Clearances from PA State Police, PA Department of Public Welfare, PA Department of Human Services, and PA Department of Aging
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, patients, and families
- Valid PA driver's license due to travel requirements
- CPR Certification must be obtained and maintained
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and cultural needs of the patient served
- NBCOT certification preferred
Qualifications
Current licensure (or license eligible) as an Occupational Therapist by the PA State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs is required.
