Occupational Therapist, Scranton Rehab Hospital (FT, Days, Days)

Brief Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Rehab and OT Team Leader, the Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements treatment for assigned patients. The Occupational Therapist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients—adolescent through geriatric.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy required.

Experience

• New graduates acceptable;
• One (1) to two (2) years Occupational Therapy experience preferred.

Supervision

• Type of supervision exercised: limited.
• Jobs reporting to this position: COTAs, aides, students, volunteers/observers.

Clearances Required

• PA State Police criminal history check,
• P业州公共福利部儿童虐待中央注册（Childline），
• P业州人力资源服务部FBI指纹检查和
• P业州老年人部FBI指纹检查（如果适用）。

Skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Interpersonal skills required for effective communication with staff, patients, and families.

Other Requirements

• Valid PA driver's license required as position involves travel in community reintegration activities and between sites.
• CPR Certification must be obtained and maintained.

Special Requirements

• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care appropriate to the age specific need and culture of the patient served.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
